gupta1212
Greetings. The problem: I have the new utorrent 2.2 which I updated recently. The old version functioned with no problems whatsoever after I manually forwarded my ports awhile back. As soon as the new version hit I stared having odd disconnection problems. I went though the typical process of troubleshooting and elimination which lead me to the culprit : Utorrent. Now I'm sure people will ask first - what kind of router do I have? Router: Linksys - WRT160Nv2 - and yes my firmware is up to date Adapter: also wireless N - Linksys WUSB600NPlease spare me the "zomg linksys sucks and that's why you have problems." I admit that might very well be the case. Since none of these routers seem to be able to handle the traffic of multiple devices and maintain stability. However, I am NOT buying a new router in the near future so that is not a viable solution because this one is not even 6 months old. I'm sure people understand that money doesn't grow on trees and neither does new hardware. I am asking if anyone has ran into this problem and tried any fixes that do not require me buying new equipment. What I have done so far is patch my tcpip.sys and a few other minor things. So far the only way I can avoid my connection dropping is to turn off Utorrent if I am doing something that requires heavy internet usage. Thanks.
