Upgrade the scheduler so it can swap an entire set of prefs in and out

I was thinking about the current annoyances I had with the scheduler being quite limited (good, but limited) and I hit upon what seems to be conceptually quite a simple solution:

Allow the user to create N number of different preferences sets (everything we see in prefs window)

Assign colours to them automatically

Let the user draw the scheduler grid in the different colours

The scheduler is used to load the prefs at the specified times

e.g. my problem is my ISP lets free downloading overnight but counts the usage towards a total durting the day, so I would have 2 prefs sets, one with transfer cap enabled (day use) and one with it disabled (that i use at night).

Suppose I also want to be nice to the others who share my net connection so I would restrict it speedwise and numbers of connections wise during the day and lets say I'm scared of the bitpolice watching my transfers during their working hours so i'd enable encryption and use an anonymizing proxy in the day-config but not at night. I might want the web ui on during the day but not at night (security reasons, blah) and my ISP eventually realises what port i'm using and blocks it for incoming, at night so I could create 8 different configs for night, each with a different port, and swap them in and out every hour

Basically, if the scheduler can swap configs on the fly it would solve pretty much every problem i can think of related to managing my download activity,, And it doesnt seem conceptually so hard to do, because uT can cope with live changes I make to the prefs, so could it cope with itself programmatically changing every pref it's using?

Mmm, that post talks about adding more options to the scheduler and making it per-torrent. I'm talking about making the scheduler simpler, jsut having it change the prefs entirely, rather than adding more things into what it can control. Making it per torrent might be an interesting addition but that might rapidly get unworkable because you'd then have a separate set of prefs for each torrent.. Might be better to manage something like that with multiple program instances (run under a different user in the same windows session) as a workaround, and hopefully not too many different profiles :D

A simpler even addition without any hustle. Add a tick box / button on top of each column and side of each row on the scheduler. E.G. I wanna stop everything on Sundays but want only seeding on Saturdays, I simply click the button on side and all day has same effect like seeding only, limited, or full. I hope someone gets my point and further elaborates it as I am not a good EXPLAINER :(
