Clay23
Hi there! It's not a big problem that I'm having here but it still annoys me...I'm using utorrent for years now and for me it's the best torrent client ever! Short time ago i upgraded to v2.2 (b4 it was some really old one) and this new version always gives me an error message when I move the files after a torrent has completely finished (downloading and seeding). First it says "finished" in the status field with a green check mark and after moving the files I get either "error: files missing from job" or "error: invalid download state, try resuming". I know what these error messages mean and it's obvious to get them while still downloading / seeding but why the hell do I get them after completely finishing a torrent? In the old version I was using it was not like this! I know that simply removing the torrent from the list would "solve" my problem or even just ignoring it would "help" but I'd like to keep them for having an overview about what I've downloaded and the big red Xes and error messages annoy me, knowing that everything with these torrents just went fine. I just don't understand why utorrent even checks finished torrents? If it's completely finished utorrent should stay away from the files in my opinion, no matter what I'm doing with them, just like it was...I was searching for hours now and all I've found related to those error messages where problems while still downloading / seeding! I'm sorry if my problem was already covered elsewhere!Any help would be appreciated!Regards,ClayP.S.: I hope my English is not too bad!
moogly
Now 'Set Download Location' moves the files for you. Just right click on the torrent job and select the new destination folder.
Clay23
Thanks for the reply! I know that... The thing is that I'm downloading on a second PC which is only for download purposes and I don't want to keep the files there forever! Also I don't want to keep the countless rar's when I've already extracted them....So is this the "normal" behavior of newer utorrent versions? moogly
Because µT checks the torrent jobs at each start-up, whatever their status (active, stopped, finished etc). So if you previously moved the files of a finished stopped torrent job, when you restart µT, the torrent job displays this error message. But I think this check has been releaxed in future versions. Clay23
Because µT checks the torrent jobs at each start-up, whatever their status (active, stopped, finished etc). Yeah, this is what it looks like to me too, but it still makes no sense to me! :/So I hope you're right that they'll probably go back to like it once was! Thanks for the Info, Moogly! moogly
I found the post: http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=562278#p562278You need to use 2.2.1 to have no check of stopped torrent jobs.
