Soand Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 After a few months of reaserching, experimenting, failing and giving up then repeating, I have finally decided to post. Please excuse my computer illeteracy.I think that my problem is that my isp (Wavelength), a wireless provider, has a firewall that does not allow full connections to p2p programs.I do not use a router, I connect to the internet with a netgear wireless adapter (to get a signal from a nearby tower). The only firewalls that I have are the winXP sp2 and norton's worm protection. I've tried disabling both, but to no avail. Is it my isp that is the problem or should I continue looking elsewhere to locate the issue. If it is the isp is there any working solution (other than calling and asking) to be able to get a full connection, i.e. the use of a wireless router?
Soand Posted March 15, 2006 Author Report Posted March 15, 2006 some additional information:Peer.lazybit_field set to 'true' and Protocol encryption 'enabled' in the Adv. settings.
