uTorrent eating up 30-40% of processor. Help?

Recommended Posts

I have read quite a lot of the topics on here in relation to this problem. Most of the problems relate to it eating processor over time, or eating the whole 100% of processor.

Things that got suggested was to check for DPC processor usage while the program is running, which is <1% nearly all the time.

Another suggestion was to check PIO is DRM mode, which I have done and it is set to DRM.

Lastly, it is a FRESH INSTALL of Windows XP sp1a, upgraded to SP2 -> SP3. I have Comodo firewall and anti-virus installed, Process Explorer from Sysinternals, and drivers for everything.

Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Sorry, it was late last night when I posted and I really couldn't be bothered to check my spelling/grammar for everything.

Anyway, since last night a few other things have been installed on the machine so that it isn't a lump sat in the corner. First up, Process Explorer:
