Jason_944 Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 I recently installed uTorrent and started using it and have a question that I have not been able to find on the Forums through the search feature. I am downloading a large file (30Gb) that contains many episodes of a TV show. Its getting most of the way done now and all of a certain season is done. The files on my computer are already seperated into different folders for each season (then each episode in the subfolder obviously). My question is: Can I go ahead and burn the completed season(s) onto a disk (while the rest of the torrent is still downloading) or do I need to wait for the whole thing to download? Thank you in advance for any help.
PiusX Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 When you mean burn are you talking about video avi format or dvd format? And the download video if kept on the same HDD I would say wait til it finishes download as you will be overtaxing the HDD and most likely will cause problematic burns.
Jason_944 Posted February 23, 2011 Author Report Posted February 23, 2011 Sorry I guess I didn't specify... I mean to burn them to DVD. Both of my DVD players will read AVI files on "test" DVD that I made, so I was planning on just leaving them as AVI files and burning them to disk. But the second part of your response made sense and is prolly true so I will just wait. Thanks for the help.
