µTorrent Mac 1.5.14 stable

I have a mac and I had been using an older version of u torrent and it was working very well , but when I updated to the new version everything went to hell, I have to restart to get files to download and then they are very slow. If anyone can help me please feel free

Hi, uTorrent is great app.

I recently started to hit the limit for disk cache. I'll be glad if you add an option in the next release so users can change it from default value of 32 MB.

They've been quiet (the devs) I'm sure there working on fixing this nasty bug.

For me the main problem is that this release take too much cpu times. On idle it already takes like +25%... Currently, I switch to Transmission, while waiting for next stable release...

Can anyone confirm the following bug?

When opening a .torrent file when utorrent is not already open, upon launch when the torrent is added, the "display window with torrent details" dialog setting is ignored and it does not open.

It happens when I open a .torrent which does NOT contain a directory, but only a file.

- double click the .torrent

- uTorrent pop-up appears, I select some download directory

- click open -> error message

Here's a screenshot:

It's impossible to add the torrent, because no matter what directory I select, the error will forbid to start the torrent. So far I only tried this with torrents whose files were already on the disk.

On Lion, user's Library folder is hidden.

So you have to, either make it visible or go directly to a Library folder.

To make it visible, Open Terminal and type "chflags nohidden ~/Library" (without quotes)

To go directly to a Library folder, go to Finder, select "Go", then "Go to Folder..." or simply "cmd+shift+g"

and type "~/Library" (without quotes)

Tried to install the beta and failed

"uTorrent-Mac-2-1.0.2.dmg - not recognized"

then tried the other and got

"uTorrent-Mac-1.5.14.dmg - not recognized"

any suggestions please?

I'm running Mac OS X 10.7.3

Please send us the checksum of the files: in Terminal go to the directory where the .dmg file is situated, then type md5 <filename> (without <> signs). You should get sth like 7a3ee18717e5bcdc2dcb9cd8a60affda, that's the information we need.
