vtol Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 w7 sp1 | uT 64bit b24767btguard's socks5 proxy is revolving another IP at a certain frequency. noticed that each time a new IP gets assigned uT's connectivity (up and down) is dropping to almost zero prior picking up again. is that by design or bug and can it be avoided?
GTHK Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 You'd have to establish new connections after an IP change, can't really do anything about that.
liquidsnake Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 I was having similar problem. I was running utorrent 2.2.1 and socks 5 proxy set up as suggested by btguard ... I went to the 'easy' install to check it out. It installs utorrent 2.0.3 but has fixed my connectivity issues. It also installs an encryption program for btguard. I did have to go enable DHT, PEX in the version it installed, but I have not seen 1 drop in 2 days. And my downloads are a solid 300k+ speeds. And anonymous as well.. I hate to install a old version of something, but it worked for me ... so it is what it is. Hope this helps
mesteele101 Posted December 24, 2011 Report Posted December 24, 2011 I'm running: uTorrent 3.0 build 25824Connection Proxy: BTGuardI auto start uTorrent on bootup, and runs constantly. My torrents are coming in on a RSS feed. If it's been some time between transfers and I start getting in new torrents in they are ghosted out. The only way to get them going is to manually restart uTorrent. It appears that the connection to BTGuard is most likely broken and a restart of uTorrent is required to re-connect in order for the transfers to start.I'm thinking there needs to be a way re cycle uTorrent after a period of time.Does anyone have a solution?
