Double Internet connection

Hello everyone!

I have one question..

I have two Internet gateways, at two different network adapters.

One is DocSis 3.0 (speed up to 50mbps), and second is DocSis 2.0 (speed up to 8mbps).

Because there is a lot of low-seeding torrents, I'm downloading about 15 concurrently (via DocSis 2.0).

The speed is ~6mbps.

There is e.g. new torrent which speed is great (~25mbps). I'm adding it in my queue.

Is possible to force uTorrent which gateway (or network adapter) will use for downloading/seeding for each torrent?

Yes, I know there is more space for all of these torrents to use DocSis 3.0, but I have a limit on it, and because of that I would not like to spend traffic on these low-seeding torrents, where my ratio is more then 16:1.

Thanks in advance,

Not within uTorrent. You would need to set up a dedicated (virtual) machine for each internet connection in order to get it to properly bind to said internet connection.

You can't restrict uTorrent to use a specific network adapter on a per-torrent basis anyway. Even if windows would actually listen to the settings (net.bind_ip and net.outgoing_ip, these are program-global and cannot be set per-torrent)

VMWare or VirtualBox might be viable for setting up virtual machines for you. That way you can set up each virtual machine to only ever attempt to use one internet connection, and add torrents to the specific connection you want to use for it (and even add it to both and have them automatically link if they aren't private flagged)
