A-Luzionz Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 Hi there.I'm currently using uTorrent 2.2. Before 2.1 obviously. But with any version... in the past 2 weeks, My download speeds are all at 5Kb/s And then go up to 50Kb/s for 1 second then back down to 5KB/s for about 20 minutes. I've done everything the uTorrent staff have said. I've checked with Glasnet, and they seem to believe my Bittorrent traffic is not being capped.I've used Azureus, Bittorrent, uTorrent, BitComet AND Bitlord, all the same story. The torrent has over 7000 seeds, so seeding isn;t an issue. I'm fairly good at problems and diagnosing stuff, but this has me baffled.I haven't been throttled, as my FTP downloads are over 500Kb/s. I tried downloading OpenOffice torrent... Same story. 5Kb/s.If you need any more info let me know... thanks.
DreadWingKnight Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 With it happening on multiple clients, it's most likely either something installed on your machine, something misconfigured in your router, or your ISP is indeed throttling you.
A-Luzionz Posted March 16, 2011 Author Report Posted March 16, 2011 I have already checked router, and same settings as a few weeks ago. Nothing new installed on PC that could damage it, although I could run a combofix just to make sure. And like I said, I have done the Gasnet test thing, and they believe I'm not being throttled, as they say I can download at 476Kb/s. the same as my FTP downloads.
DreadWingKnight Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 SPI firewall enabled in your router? If so, disable it.Also, because of the simplicity of the glasnost test, its results are not conclusive.
A-Luzionz Posted March 16, 2011 Author Report Posted March 16, 2011 Just checked Firewall... I have turned it off, but no change in download speed. I'll run a combofix, and see if that changed anything, if not, I'll ring BT and say I'm using PS3 to play COD but P2P Transfer is capped and so cant play. see what they say ^^
A-Luzionz Posted March 16, 2011 Author Report Posted March 16, 2011 Another thing I just noticed, If I close uTorrent, and then start it up again after 2 mins I reach 50Kb/s for about 1 minuite, and then drop back down to 2-5Kb/s afterwards... Could this help diagnose the problem?
A-Luzionz Posted March 16, 2011 Author Report Posted March 16, 2011 Ran Combofix... and apart from raping my startup, and services... It did nothing xD So it's not a misconfiguration or a problem with a program.
A-Luzionz Posted March 16, 2011 Author Report Posted March 16, 2011 You know what? Can't be fucked with torrents... everything is perfect. Nothing is wrong, still SHIT download speeds, Sorry for wasting your time. But I can't be fucking bothered with this shit... Ciao
