Two torrents saving to one folder

Hedging my bets on which of two torrents would be faster for a 5GB+ download, I downloaded and started two different torrents. When one finished (the other was about 50%), I discovered both torrents were saving data to the same folder, most likely corrupting both.

It appears uT is not checking for duplicate download locations. I would expect it would either warn users and/or append a number at the end of the 2nd folder's name to differentiate it from the 1st. (e.g. folders named "This Folder" vs. "This Folder (1)".)

---------------

Here is my HT dump. NOTE: The dump is of the WinXP virtual machine in which I run uT. The base OS is Win7. The XP VM setup has worked very well for me for several years, giving me a way to isolate and scan new downloads before moving them to the "real" side of this PC.

I have observed that this _same_ behaviour that has existed since at least v1.8.

In fact, I have used it to my advantage _many_ times, to allow me to obtain the same torrent from multiple private trackers. I get portions from each, until I have it all. Right or wrong - stupid or smart - this is how I avoid leaking from one private tracker to another. Then, when complete, I seed the whole torrent to all the trackers.

Personaly, I'm happy to consider this as a _Feature_ of uTorrent, rather than a Bug.

However, you might also say that this is a modern type of Caveat Emptor (Perhaps 'Downloader beware' - Sorry, don't know the Latin for 'Downloader'. I will check if there is Latin for 'Leech' or 'Leecher').
