Downloads will not default to uTorrent

I am all of a sudden having problems with my downloads defaulting to uTorrent. When I try to download a message appears saying I do not have a program installed to download the torrent and it asks me if I want windows to find a program to use?

I have used uTorrent for a long time and am just now having this problem.

I have tried everything I know, but was wondering if anyone else was experiencing the same problems and if so, if they knew of a solution.

Also when I click on "associate with torrent files" in preferences, it will grey it out, but when I exit out and go back, its not grayed out anymore?

P.S. I am using IE web browser with Windows 7. My uTorrent version is 2.2.1

Right click on a .torrent stored in your computer then select "open with..." then select utorrent.exe stored in the folder %programfiles%\uTorrent.
