nibal Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 It used to be configurable to show utorrent in System Tray or not. Unfortunately I have automatic updates and seems that this setting is lost. As a result i have disabled automatic updates. Please refrain from breaking GUI between updates :mad:I always use utorrent as a regular application. Minimize/maximize from task bar and startup on boot. Since the last update, it seems that I also get a system tray icon, which I don't want. This is useful real estate and i don't like programs taking up space in there without permission. HIDE won't do what I want .How can I disable just the system Tray icon? Thanks

Firon Posted March 31, 2011 Report Posted March 31, 2011 Just hide it with Windows. Right click -> Customize notification options. The option was disabled due to bugs, but it is fixed in 3.0.

Any URL for it?Thanks,
Firon Posted April 1, 2011 Report Posted April 1, 2011 You can hide icons in XP too, it's just a slightly different process. I forget it though, just check the properties of the taskbar or something. And I would not recommend the 64-bit 3.0, but you can find the 32-bit edition in the Announcements forum.
Hund Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 I have the same problem, I cannot hide the tray icon. I'm using µTorrent 2.2.1 via Wine on GNU/Linux.
