bustajibb
Thank you for your reply elton75. I unchecked "Active Firewall" on my modem and opened utorrent. Browsers still did not work. The problem continues.
ctrlx
I was just having this same problem:(The situation existed for wired and wireless connections on my network)Load browser, surf......all working fine, speed tests resulted in awesomeness...Load uTorrent, working fine, Up and Down working proper, BUT, killed Browser surfing.....Speed tests resulted still fine but browser page loads failed.....pages MIGHT load with several retries......Turn off uTorrent, browser back to normal......Having a look at the Cable Modem/Router settings, in the FIREWALL settings (Firewall - Content Filter) the "IP Flood Detection" was checked "on", turning that option to "off" solved my problem....Now browsing and Utorrent seem to residing together happily......continuing further testing....Just a note: Routers and Cable Modems when settings are changed within them, it is normal to have to "SAVE" the changes within the device for the changes to take effect...."Computers are a great tool with many options......with those many options is the option for failure"
