bently
I have a huge archive torrent with 1 file unfinished @ ~98%I located another torrent for the single missing file and have downloaded it to 99.6%Currently, there are no seeds for either, but hope springs eternal. Is it ok to point both torrents to the same file so that if a seed or a peer with the missing chunks ever does show it will finish both? Or should I keep the incomplete files separate until one of them finishes, after which I can change the pointers? :/
DreadWingKnight
You need to wait until AFTER they're done. Otherwise, they'll trip over each other.
bently
I thought they might. But what I was able to do was make a copy of the most complete file and place it in the other torrent's download folder and then did a "relocate" and a "force re-check" to sync it. That made both torrents nearly complete. now just to wait for a passing seed :\
