Piece Priority=SKIP - File Priority=Download v2.2.1(25130)

I understand I have been told before that Pieces _can_ have different Priorities than the Files they are in.

However, Is it correct that a Piece has a Priority of SKIP

But the file is _not_ set to DON'T DOWNLOAD?

This is repeatable 100% of the time.

If this is fine, then I'm happy for this issue to be closed.

If it is not, then I will provide the details required to repeat it.

To repeat this issue, perform the following steps:

01 - Set "Use fine grained file priorities" to ON.

02 - Start _any_ torrent.

03 - If there are multiple files, set all but _one_ file to "Don't Download".

04 - From the 'Detailed Info' panel, select the 'Files' tab.

05 - The Only/Remaining file will have a Priority of "normal (8)".

06 - From the 'Detailed Info' panel, select the 'Pieces' tab.

07 - Once pieces start downloading, observe that the Priority displayed will be "normal"

08 - From the 'Detailed Info' panel, select the 'Files' tab.

09 - Change the Priority of the currently downloading file to "low (1)".

10 - From the 'Detailed Info' panel, select the 'Pieces' tab.

11 - Observe that the currently downloading pieces now have a Priority of "skip".

12 - From the 'Detailed Info' panel, select the 'Files' tab.

13 - Change the Priority of the currently downloading file to "low (2)".

14 - From the 'Detailed Info' panel, select the 'Pieces' tab.

15 - Observe that the currently downloading pieces now have a Priority of "low".

It's possible that this issue is also related to an issue reported as:

"The pieces tab is not the same as the files tab. Those are internal priorities.

This is not a bug."

Yes.

But, to be more precise, you see the lowest High as Normal, the lowest Normal as Low, and the lowest Low as Skip.

So, the problem would seem to be more widespread than pieces that should be _skipped_ actually downloading.

And, it would appear that the issue is _only_ related to what is Displayed, rather than a Downloading error.

It should also be noted that a file can be changed to Priority low(1), and new pieces will _start_ to download.

This is different to pieces that are _already_ downloading when the File Priority is changed to 'Don't Download', and the pieces change to a Priority of 'Skip'. Or, they were started before the File was changed to 'Don't Download', then the Uploader stopped before _any_ data was transferred, then the piece was restarted (_Looking_ like a new piece has just started).

Files marked as 'Don't Download' don't download.
