I could believe the slowness.

Is the CPU usage going a little crazy? How about memory consumption? We made some strides to have 3.1 use a lot less CPU with lots of torrents.

Is this a dedicated server, or just on your home connection?

The server is just a home server, so dealing with my small 5/800 connection.

CPU usage doesn't look too bad. Around 5%, still a lot for such a small program, but plenty of capacity left. Don't think CPU usage is the problem, because the rest of the server remains very responsive when uTorrent isn't.

The memory looks odd. I got task manager open and I can see the memory consumption going up. Every 10-14 seconds another MB. At least it remains now between 45 and 50 MB. But this is only since I powered the PC up a few minutes ago. The longer uTorrent is on, the slower it will get. At startup it's responsive as it should be, but after about 4 hours, I start to notice. After a long day, it takes 5 minutes just to get the program to shut down the right way. I check today what happens, I'll keep the task manager open.

/edit: almost an hour after startup, uTorrent is approaching 20% CPU and 100MB RAM usage.

/edit 2: not yet crossed the 3h line and already over 200MB of RAM claimed by uT.

/edit 3: almost 8 hours and now totally unresponsive. Consuming over 430MB of RAM and a constant 22-25% CPU (pretty heavy on a quadcore 2,2GHz for only 4 active torrents).

ahh just discover new bug that happend to me today.. not sure is it randomly or rare because it never happend to me before... when you download more then 10 torrents and they all finish to download (not sure if they all finish together at the same time... i leave my pc on for some hours..) and you leave your pc on screen saver mod in that time... you can't launch utorrent window when you double press it icon (from the toolbar) till all the messages from the completed downloads show up...

I'm noticing a new error. On 2 different systems, same latest version (25824), previous version didn't have this: when box checked "More seed slots when upload speed is < 90%", it doesn't do it. Every torrent stays on it's default maximum amount of seeds, even when my upload speed is less then 50% used.

another critical bug i just discovered, when you scroll down really alot in a "rating" tab that have really alot of commits (more then 100 if i don't mistake) utorrent will just stop responding! it probably somehow relate to the bug of the black list that appeared after someone scroll down in the rating tab ....

can you plz do something about it?

"Forced Re-Check" is slow and empty my downloads

in ut 3, when i got lots of hashfails, i stop the torrent, try "Forced Re-check" to check the files, it

said "0%".

i quit ut3 and start ut 2.2.1, try "Forced Re-check" , it can recover my downloads.

Also, "Forced Re-check" is 4x slower in ut 3.

uTorrent is not updating from version 3.0 build 25806 to any of the newer versions. I have to download the new version and install it manually. If i select check for update it returns me that i have the latest version.

The option update to beta version is unchecked, if i check it prompts me to update to version 3.1
