Build 25422 is bugged, unfortunately.

Stops downloading, says Disk Overload 100%, Task manager shows high CPU usage of 50% on a dual core. When I close uTorrent it does not kill the process, when process is killed via Task manager, everything is lost and check needed on torrents being downloaded.

I can reproduce the behaviour.

I take that back. It's a problem with all final builds of 3.0, where I try to download a file that is at least 20GB. No file is created or prealocated, CPU usage jumps to 50%, disk overheads jumps to 100%, but actual disk usage is 0, memory usage jumps to as much as possible(page file actually, but I have pagefile set to 0 on all drives).

UT 3 ( 25406 )

when you close Utorrent from the taskbark sometimes the program wont close and you have to close it by the task manager

Also there is a way to have the "green" line from the speed tab like was 2 versions before this release?

What i mean the other green line was more "Precise" and not so jumpi like the one now ( Is the green line that show the current download speed in the "Speed" tab )

Hope you understand me

The problem is limited to version 3,0, I can download fine with version 2.2.1, very low CPU usage, everything is fine.

With this kind of a bug, 3.0 should still be in Alpha stages.

A Big problems with all active torrent and tracker!!

After some time it's active i seen and i noticed all torrent goes offline and the tracker information say:

Unrecognized Host (80.120.xxx.xxx or ad ip adreess). Please go to http://www.siteoftracker.com and login or signup!!

With the laster 2.x version this "problems" it's not present..........

*EDIT*

My version it's 3.0 buils 25406 and the autoupdate from the last 3 or 4 version continue to NOT WORKING and continue to say "The is no new version" !! I Thinks this a critical bug.

using version 25422 (and at least the previous version also, if not some before that, but not all past builds)

When I have a downloading torrent highlighted and am showing the files/trackers/whatever down below, I used to be able to click in an open spot on the dowload window to un-highlight the downloading torrent and therefore also stop showing the files/tracker/whatever down below......not anymore. Now I can un-highlight the torrent but it continues to show the files/trackers/whatever below. This is really only an issue for me if I have hidden downloads....I can leave the "hidden" labeled torrents but if I have, at any point, highlighted one of them, and I don't have an un-hidden torrent to highlight instead, I cannot get it to stop showing the files/trackers/whatever from the hidden torrent....therefore its not hiding very well.

Just upgraded to 3.0 from 2.2.1 and there are some issues. First of all there is problem with utilizing the bandwdith. Maximum upload speed stays at 165 kB/s though upload limit is 200 and it should be reached cosidering amount of active torrents. Next question: is uTorrent 3.0 supposed not to have status icons for downloading/seeding, because I have no ones. And the last problem: I have no descriptions for lines in speed graph tab (see image below) clipboard02uvi.jpg

I assume that issues with icons and graph's description could be connected with old skin's using, so how could I switch back to regular one. Also there're lots of message in logger tab such as:

[date]: my local ip:port [uTP] (torrent's name): Banning peer: same peer id as existing peer

Indeed, problem with graph lines' description was solved by removing current.btskin, but status icons didn't appear.

Is there a way the Search box from the right side of the Ut gui to be removed somehow?

Yes: F4... :P

Maximum upload speed stays at 165 kB/s though upload limit is 200 and it should be reached cosidering amount of active torrents.

Do you get that speed with speedtest.net ? Also, you can try with pref->bittorrent->bandwidth management = disabled.

Next question: is uTorrent 3.0 supposed not to have status icons for downloading/seeding, because I have no ones.

pref->advanced->gui.show_status_icon_in_dl_list = true

Thanks for yor reply.

This is my default speed, I have about 210 kB/s without upload limit, so the issue is not my connection speed. I've tried

pref->bittorrent->bandwidth management = disabled
but result is the same, do you have any other suggestions? Also could you say something about "Banning peer: same peer id as existing peer" messages.

I have also tried to enable "Apply rate limit to transport overhead" with speed limit 220 kB/s and got the same speed about 160-165 kB/s.

No, no other real suggestions that I can think of. It works fine here (XP) and on the other screen-shots that people published here.

Maybe try playing with bittorrent->limit-local peers bandwidth.

I started using 3.0 at the RC stage, but only saw this happening at the end, possibly with the first final build, and through the subsequent final builds: after actively using it for torrenting (not just running it and closing it), the utorrent.exe process sticks in memory indefinitely after closing the app.

I remember this subject coming up now and again over the years, but I haven't found an active thread on it, so I thought I'd mention it here in case anyone has seen it recently. This is not a new install but rather a continuation of all the RC installs, the first of which was installed over 2.x, etc. Win7 x86.
