I was downloading a torrent with the download rate running at .7 kb/s, then I talked to my friend and he led me here where I learned how to make the speed faster. It worked successfully up to the next day when I tried downoading a different torrent. Help is much needed.

My thoughts are it's not very a good idea to use a BT client with a sat connection. Are you able to forward a port and obtain a green circle? Or are you staying in firewalled state?

Certainly sounds like you've been auto-throttled. Most SAT providers only allow a few GB/month before they throttle you.

*A "threshold" is the amount of data that you can upload or download in a 30-day period before WildBlue's Fair Access Policy may reduce your speeds.

That's what I wanted to know, the color of the network icon in µT systray.

As you have no access to the router to forward a port, your are firewalled by the ISP network.

As I said, sat internet should not be used to run torrents.
