Hello,

I found a bug in Boss-Key feature in utorrent (all versions)

Steps that you should do for seeing the bug in your computer.

1) open utorrent and setup a boss key

2) set and hide the utorrent

3) to display back it will ask for the password

4 ) now restart your pc

5) download a .torrent file from any website

6) double click the torrent file and utorrent will open without asking for password

7) now minimize utorrent

8) it will now ask for the password.

please do something that even after restarting the pc it should ask for the boss-bey for opening the utorrent

this is a bug in all version windows OS ( XP , Vista , Win7 and edition ) both x86 and x64

Boss key mode is not persistent across restarts. It is not intended to be a strong security measure.

but please do something to make it strong

if its not strong then what's the need of password protecting it
