heynow
My WinXP pro(SP2) system has NVidia firewall setup on it (came that way). I have never had a problem with that till very recently. Sometime after the 1.5 update I started to get some strange bits (hanging occasionally). In the last couple days it got much worse and now if I try to run a torrent for more than about 10 min utorrent will hang. It is in the task bar and doesn't respond to a click. Interestingly it does not show up in the Task Manager, so a reboot is the only way to get it out. Part of what might be the problem is that I had turned the firewall off ... not uninstalled just off. I would uninstall it but I can't find out to do so (not in Add/Remove list and no uninstall associated with it I can find). Would going backwards to an old version of utorrent solve this or do I have to uninstall the firewall. David
Firon
uninstall the firewall. if you read the FAQ, you'd know that it has HUGE bugs, and disabling it does -not- work.
