How do I add a movie to utorrent

I downloaded a movie and in error deleted it, including the torrent and data. The movie is in my downloads in VLC and can still be played, is it possible to import it to utorrent so that

I can seed it?

Redownload the .torrent file from the web and open it with µT. Then select the folder where is stored the file (movie). µT will force a recheck and seed again.

I think he explained that but if this helps.

Step 1) Re-download the .torrent file from where you found it

Step 2) Open it with uTorrent

Step 3) Select the folder where you have the movie stored

Step 4) uT will force a re-check and start seeding the torrent.

No download required.

So what you are both saying which I didn't understand (forgive my ignorance) is that the actual process of downloading does not take place the second time, it will only be checked by utorrent.

That makes sense when I think about it.....don't understand but it makes sense, thank you both.

That's the role of the forced recheck. If the forced recheck reaches 100%, so for µT the file is present and complete and µT starts to seed directly. If not, µT downloads the missing pieces (if they are available) then seeds. There is nothing hard to understand.
