bbmak
I have a nas server, which has bittorrent client built-in, but it does not have anything to create a torrent to seed, only able to add torrent. So, I usually create the torrent from utorrent and seed it via the mapped drive. Are there anyway to create the torrent in utorrent and seed in the nas's bittorrent client? Cyb3rH4Xter
Well you only have to add the torrent to your NAS drive, select to save the files in the same directory as where the files are and then do something like a re-check. Though I doubt that NAS client even has those features...
BeowulfNode
I don't see why it wouldn't work, as most nas boxes with torrent clients run fairly standard linux torrent clients which should have those features. It'll mainly come down to if the nas developer bothered to put the button in their interface. If the above doesn't work...... and if the nas client and your utorrent client has local peer discovery turned onyou could be seeding the torrent on utorrent and then just add the torrent to the nas client and it should transfer nearly all of the data via the lan connection. Make sure you have turned off limit local peer bandwidth on both if you can. I think utorrent's default for this is to have unlimited lan speed. Not sure what the nas client would have.
