rons6281
I just downloaded a file at 1.8Mb/s (My normal max is between 700Kb/s and 2.8Mb/s) I'm seeding the above mentioned file at between 0.3Kb/s and 1.7Kb/s. How go I speed this up? As with all my files, I ry t seed for as long as I can but this is just too slow. Can anyone tell me how to adjust my settings? DreadWingKnight
Depends, What are the X of Y (Z in swarm) numbers for both seeds and peers on the offending torrent (general tab, offending torrent selected)?
rons6281
To DreadWingKnight:What on earth does any of your response mean? That is as cryptic of an answer as Egyptian Hieroglyphics. Next time try to say something. But thank you for taking the time to say less than non-sense.
DreadWingKnight
It means you look at the general tab with one of your problem torrents selected and tell me the numbers from peers and seeds there. They are formatted as "X of Y (Z in swarm)"
rons6281
I understand Peers and seeds. I want to increase my up load bandwith so that I can seen faster. I know that I'm fairly new but it seems to me that in the settings part that I can adjust my up-load bandwith/and/or upload-download speeds in order to go faster. That was my original question. I want to seed faster for seeding. Or is that a function of my provider that is limiting it?
DreadWingKnight
Are you going to give me the information I requested of you or am I going to close this thread because you're being un-cooperative?
bugburner
Hi, I'm having a similar issue. One of the older problems, I downloaded a 91.3 mb file on 4/13/2011. Seeds: 0 of 9 connected (12 in swarm)Peers: 0 of 8 connected (6 in swarm)Uploaded: 10.4mbRatio: .112I admit that I don't have a deep understanding of the numbers, but I always seed to at least 1.0 ratio. Not sure what I can do to help the slow ones along?
rons6281
Offending torrent: Seeds 0(1791) Peers 2(1296) Upload speed bet 0.8 and 3.0Kb/s
rons6281
When you said "X and Y (Z in Swarm)" I had no idea what you were talking about. Now after looking at the "General Tab" I understand. Thank you I learned something.Scratch that, it was from the upper window in uTorrent. This is from the General tab of the offending torrent: Seeds: 0 of 582 connected (1791 in swarm)Peers: 2 of 1239 connected (70 in swarm)I'm not sure how that helps as I thought it was a settings or bandwith problem. (Bandwith problem as in my service provider throttling speeds) (Note, I have the same problem with all my torrents it seems and that is why I thought it was one of the problems listed above.)Please help me with this but also explain to me or direct me to another thread or source where I can read and learn this for myself. Such as "swarm", what does that mean and how does it affect things. Please stear me to a resource where I can learn this stuff and not have to ask these type of questions.I thank you for your help. facemark
I'm having similar problems with seeding, using uTorrent v3. My modem port is forwarded properly following the guides on portforward.com for my router. Download speeds are very good, just what I'd expect from my ISP. But my upload speeds are virtually nothing, in fact I'm getting very few connections considering the number of peers.Any ideas?
