Reformation Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 Hi ive done a bit of searching and couldn't find the solution so was wondering someone could help please. When i restart UTorrent it rechecks all of the files, so something is obviously going wrong, ive made sure my bt.graceful_shutdown is set to 'True' so i was wondering if anyone knew of a reason this might happen? What are the most common causes of this happening? If you reply can you not say 'fix what is causing the resume writing to not work' because i don't understand what that means or how to fix it without some instruction. Yep i'll fix it but i need a little more to go on :-)Any help would be gratefully received.

Reformation Posted June 30, 2011 Author Report Posted June 30, 2011 Thnaks for the reply, im not running Norton so im guessing it must have something to do wit hthe fact of how im shutting it down. I right click on the utorrent icon in the bottom right corner and click 'close utorrent' and it closes, obviously.Should i be shutting down another way? Also its only recently started happening in the last month and ive always shut down in the same way...
DreadWingKnight Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 If you're letting it shut down on its own, then it shouldn't be doing this.Do you have any media indexers such as roxio's one or nero scout monitoring your downloads folder?
Reformation Posted June 30, 2011 Author Report Posted June 30, 2011 No not that im aware of, well the answer is no. I dont even know what a media indexer is, im obviously aware of Roxio and Nero but ive never used a media indexer before.
DreadWingKnight Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=29748 - both logs (hijackthis and process explorer with dll list for the utorrent.exe process) would be helpful in identifying potential problems here.
