I have a friend who said that the file in question was downloaded deliberately with a tracker in the file ,is this possible?.
moogly
Maybe the .torrent file contained a tracker managed by the right holders. Anyway they can hire firms to monitor the p2p networks and list the IPs sharing their products.http://dmca.cs.washington.edu/
NoPegs
All they do is run a torrent client, connect to the swarm, and request a "piece" from your torrent client. If your client offers to send them one they record the date/time/ip address and copyrighted work, and print off the letter to your ISP.There is no way to avoid having this happen. Any peer could be the stooge.
