MisterRemote Posted July 7, 2011 Report Share Posted July 7, 2011 I have some questions about new µtorrent remote feature from utorrent Version 3.Is it correct, that µtorrent dev team is theoretical able to use all Clients world wide that registered with µtorrent Remote service? How does µtorrent make sure that never someone will be able to hack the database and will gain access to all these clients?Is privacy guaranteed or could it happen that someone else is able to access my client (dev team included)?HTTPS is nice, but it will not protect me if someone attacks utorrent servers to steal all saved passwords.In my opinion WEB UI instead of new ut remote is much more secure, because it can only be attacked by knowledge of ip address and remote port. With WEB-UI only I have data not someone else like ut dev team, so there can't be misuse by insiders and there can't be a centralized attack to thousands of webinterfaces.Would be nice if soemone could say something to my concerns.
