SamePaul
Currently uTorrent has fixed number of "system" labels: Downloading, Seeding, Completed, Active, Inactive. I'd like to have ability to add "smart label" that can filter torrent list by some arbitrary criteria. And the criteria can vary. For example, "completed on" to filter most recent downloads, or visa versa very old downloads; having some specific tracker in their "trackers" list; having size between 1GB and 8GB. And of course it should be possible to combine many conditions in single smart label. Thus "smart label" is actually dynamic filter. Like "search folders" in Outlook Why I ask for it?I have very big list of torrents in my uTorrent (>400), most of them downloaded automatically via RSS, some manually. Many times I miss stuff just because it's very hard to track down what is new download, what should be deleted etc. Adding label is not very useful as any torrent is limited to single label. Moreover, I should do it manually, it's boring task and I often forget about this. Hence even ability for adding multiple labels is not as good as ability to use "smart labels" as "smart labels" can suit many needs and is automatic. For example I can make smart label for small (size) movies (file extension) downloaded recently (completed on) to view it via WebUI and download remotely to my smartphone when I'm abroad. Ultima
And in fact, I'd already suggested it in that very thread.
SamePaul
And in fact, I'd already suggested it in that very thread.Well, indeed seems very similar. However I doubt I could find it, so I'm sorry for partial duplication.Anyway, here is another added value. Column filtering is limited to GUI, whereas labels are directly exposed into WebUI. And this is main reason why I need "smart labels" - WebUI is desktop oriented and very inconvenient on mobiles. Smart Labels would make it a lot more convenient. Yes, I know about Android app. No go. Works only via utorrent.com, which I don't want due to privacy concern.
Ultima
µTorrent MiniUI was designed for mobile devices and supports torrent filtering (just not persistent filters at the moment).
SamePaul
MiniUI sacrifices WebUI convenience in favor of mobile interface. I connect to WebUI not only from my smartphone, but from desktop as well. Also, filtering abilities of the MiniUI are very basic. Actually it can filter only by torrent name. And in my use case examples I even didn't mention filtering by name as it doesn't have any actual value. I want to know what are latest downloads of RSS downloader. How MiniUI really helps to solve it? It can't. And in fact, it will never be able as neither creation time nor completion time is exposed to WebUI - I already checked it when tried to write my own WebUI interface with the necessary abilities. Moreover, Smart Labels are not "good just for specific task", like filtering in GUI only or in WebUI only. There are variety of tasks it can help to perform and I brought some examples.

Addition/completion time support isn't already in MiniUI simply because of Real Life™ time constraints on my end -- not at all because it's impossible. Moreover, Smart Labels are not "good just for specific task", like filtering in GUI only or in WebUI only. There are variety of tasks it can help to perform and I brought some examples.Sure; I never tried to diminish the request. I'm just offering a workaround to your lamentation that µTorrent Remote for Android doesn't meet your privacy needs/standards/expectations. It thus strikes me as odd that you'd reject MiniUI on grounds of sacrificed convenience, but not µTorrent Remote for Android (which suggests that the latter has some ability to filter as you'd like). Anyway, we're probably veering off topic at this point, so whatever.
h0rnytoad1
+1 for this idea.whit this idea categorizing your downloads per label sends them in the right folder immediately. easier to manage.
