utserver wont start

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have a dedicated ubuntu 10.04 server and trying to install the utorrent 3.0 server and having a problem with starting it. I looked at the docs and read on the website on how to install it, and it is very very simple and easy to do.

When I type "./utserver" I get this it acts like the file isn't there.

ks383550:/home/suzi/utorrent-server-v3_0# ls
docs utserver webui.zip
ks383550:/home/suzi/utorrent-server-v3_0# ./utserver
-bash: ./utserver: No such file or directory

Im kind of stumped on how to start this server if it acts like its not there. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

I would also like to mention, I had this problem on my evoswitch VPS which i had to install rutorrent because utorrent wouldnt start. =(

found the fix. It was to install ia32-libs

You will have a better experience if you run a 32-bit build on a 32-bit OS, or a 64-bit build on a 64-bit OS. We have recommended against running a 32-bit build on a 64-bit OS even with what would be the "correct" libraries installed.
