Cultureberserker Posted July 31, 2011 Report Posted July 31, 2011 OK... I don't really know where this enquiry belongs, but I'll start here as this is some kind of trouble to me. I am in the bad habit of leeching files, and then transferring them from the place they arrive to the place they belong to on my computer. Problem is, of course, once I do this, seeding back becomes impossible as Utorrent doesn't seem to be able to follow the move.I am not an expert user, so is it possible to configure the program to look for files in certain directories before telling me there are errors and and missing files?
DreadWingKnight Posted July 31, 2011 Report Posted July 31, 2011 You need to tell uTorrent that you've moved the files AND where you've moved them to. It's not possible for uTorrent to detect the moves automatically.
Cultureberserker Posted July 31, 2011 Author Report Posted July 31, 2011 Well, the FAQs and guides just did not work out... The guide for "Loading torrents in µTorrent" in the migrating your files section did not work as advertised, it just results in the torrent reloading, rather than giving an option to look for the files where they are stored. One thing I DON'T need is multiple copies of large files in my system. Now, if the thing can't be done, I'll just schedule file reorganisation on a weekly basis and drop seeding after that.
