Error Code: Access Denied

In just the last 2 days it seems that about 80% of the torrents that I download come back with the error code: access denied... and this occurs after about 1-2 minutes of downloading but it doesn't happen all the time. Does anyone have any answers/suggestions to solve this dilemma? Thanks.... lasvegasjeff2011:):|

I have this same problem, I've been downloading a torrent for about 12 hours now.

The file is 13GB and I left it downloading over night. When I woke up the torrent had stopped at 7GB because 'Access is Denied' and I had to start it again.

Now every 1-5 minutes it tells me access is denied again and I have to click start to continue it. Usually around every 0.1% which is very frustrating.

Double-check the security properties on the files (your user account needs to have full control) and make sure you have no internet security software trying to access it at the same time.

This is the only user account on the pc and has full control.

I've also disabled all firewalls and closed any other programs etc..

I went to the folders security tab and checked all the permissions, full control, special permissions, read, write etc.. Is that what you mean?

And you did this with your user account and applied user account to the child objects as well?

Not sure, I'll write what it says on advanced setting.

Inherited From: <not inherited>

Apply To: This folder, subfolders, and files.

And I have 'Inherit from parent the permission entries that apply to child objects. Include these with entries explicitly defined here.' checked.

Not very good with IT haha.

Given that McAfee has been also causing bluescreens recently, I'd say uninstall it.

Should I remove the firewall that installed with it?

I had someone else install all this stuff after the last time my pc died.

You should remove the entire package, all things McAfee.

Have done.

Hasn't made a difference to the error though.

When I click on the 'files' tab, every file is complete except about ten of them which appear red when the message appears.

I can see which individual files aren't completing, is there anything I can do with the permissions on them to try solve it?
