dollarscholar
I assume the public library here has some sort of block from torrent type of downloads. It does not block my access to thepiratebay, extratorrent, etc, and I was able to download the utorrent application unto my laptop here, but upon adding torrents to my utorrent application, the DHT at the bottom says waiting to login, and in the right corner there is a orange triangle with a white ! exclaimation point and when I put my mouse cursor over it, it says NO INCOMING CONNECTIONS, unless the icon turns green it could indicate a problem with your network configuration....so are there any options for me? im sitting here in the library, using their free unsecured internet signal, but the torrents are not beginning their downloads... what do i need to do? DreadWingKnight
The tl;dr: you're after is that you shouldn't be trying to torrent at the library.Without control over the intermediary hardware, you won't have the access needed to unblock stuff that is being blocked.Plus, your thread hijacking earlier was annoying, rude and against the rules. Firon
You can't torrent at a library, as they tend to block torrents. There's nothing you can do: use your internet at home.
dollarscholar
I got a mass lawsuit from a porn company saying i downloaded their vids through my cox cable isp, and few years back HBO sent cox cable a threatening letter about me... so no i'd rather not use the home internet.... i figured a simple proxy server ip would work, but these amateur library people are really that good to block torrents and that's that????? there is no setting configuration in my utorrent preferences to get around it? enter a port or a proxy server????
