HiTekRedNek
I'm interested in being able to have multiple users have their own Utorrent session running on a single server. This would include having their own private directories to store their data locally on the server and have the ability to access over an ssh/sftp client.Just wondering what would be the best approach keeping security in mind. Should I consider a chroot jail? Not really familiar with configuring a chroot or if it's possible but it's something I've been recently reading about.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.. HiTekRedNek
So based on what I've read I guess I can run multiple instances and customize the utserver.conf for each individual user. I've read about the multi-user webui shell that exists, but are there any instructions on how to get it to work for Utorrent server for Linux? HiTekRedNek
Bump!I'm finally getting around to trying this project. Just checked the post and surprised to see no comments. I've been reading a bit about Chroot jails and it seems like a daunting task. Basically I want to run multiple sessions of utserver for 2 seperate users. I want to isolate the sessions using a chroot jail. I've read I will have to copy all shared dependencies ie Libraries over to the chroot in order to launch the binary. Wish I could find a good solid tutorial so I don't waste my time!If somebody could point me to a good link to accomplish the following in the easiest way.- Only allow user ssh/sftp access (OpenSSH)- Give the ability to start and stop the utserver daemon using a script.- Restrict the shell for isolation and security.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
