Unable to find downloaded files

Good afternoon all.

I am using uTorrent 3.0.

I have downloaded a few files. However, I can not see any of the files/folders that are been downloaded. Only uTorrent can open the folder containing the files.

I have made sure all hidden files are showing in my computer.

Any suggestions?

Many thanks

Sure -- one simple approach is to search for the file! You don't mention your OS, but if you know enough of the torrent name, just do a search and your download will show up. However, if you haven't specified a download location (browse the menus - it's there), the default is what I consider a weird spot -- I have all of my documents in "my own location" but the Windows system defaults to something like C:users/(default name)/downloads. The good news is that it is usually found at the very top of your folders - just open windows explorer and there it is at the top: "downloads". If it isn't there, you must have changed the default download location, so just hunt it up.

Thank you treefree.

My OS in WINDOWS 7. I have just re-installed utorrent 3.0. I have set my downloading folder to G:\Movies.

With the new features on utorrent 3.0 I can watch the movies via utorrent. It even tells it's downloaded to G:\Movies.

However, when I open G:\Movies using WINDOWS, or take my G:\ drive away (external drive) to a DVD player, WIN or DVD can see the downloaded movie. The re-installed utorrent does even show up on Start Menu.

Some in depth help please.
