Getstew
Thanks for any help on this I did search this forum. IP filtering is set to "True" in advanced preferences, I see in the logger tab that ipfilter.dat was loaded successfully (297,876 entries) and "Log blocked connections" is checked under "Peer traffic logging", but when I begin a download there is no indication that any IP's are being blocked. I've tried loading different lists and even different versions of utorrent. Same thing. Also, utorrent is opened up in my firewall list.Using Windows 7 64 bit (also tried 32 bit version of utorrent). Thanks for any help!
DreadWingKnight
Outbound connection attempts do NOT show up in the log in that situation. And the blocklist you're probably using doesn't protect you as much as you think it does. Getstew
Thanks. Can you elaborate? Does your response mean that the IP Filtering is indeed working, just that it doesn't show in the logger? I've used these same .dat files in Vuze and with peerblock, and there is at least feedback as to what's happening (but those programs have other issues I'm not happy with).Thanks. DreadWingKnight
It means that you won't see logging entries for outbound connections because they won't actually be attempted at all.Inbound connections may be attempted, and those will show in the log.
