bulldog09 Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 hi,I know this has probably been posted many times but after searching, many of the solutions that worked for other people did not work for me.currently, my utorrent speeds range from 0-1 kbps and it doesn't even upload.i am currently directly to my college's network through my ethernet cable so i'm not sure how port forwarding could help in this case (because there is no router in between the wall and my computer lol)When I go into speed guide and click "test if port is forwarded properly" (and it says "OK" port is open and is accepting connections) - i'm using port 80 right now but it really doesn't make a difference.one thing that I notice is that when i go to logger, it is "Unable to map uPnP port to blahblah"any ideas what I can do?thanks guys, i appreciate it!
Ultima Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 Getting past your school's firewall can be a pain in the ass, if not impossible, most of the time. That UPnP error doesn't matter unless you're using UPnP. As for using the standard HTTP port... don't you have to tunnel through the port, and not just use it?
Firon Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 The only thing you can do is turn on Protocol Encryption. If that does nothing, you're SOL
