Limit Pieces to download per torrent.

I post it before, but I think someone misunderstand 'pieces' with files.

what I mean with 'pieces' is something that I see in [pieces] tab Detailed Info.

when there is so much peer, utorrent tend to download so many 'pieces' in same times, while my download is limited only 10 kbps. so It's make the 'pieces' finish it's download longer.

I want to limit number of 'pieces' download at a time. so when I limit the 'pieces' to download at maximum 10. they only download 10 pieces at a time. and download a new one when a pieces is downloaded(finished).

What about limiting the "Maximum number of connected peers per torrent"?

When you allow 10 connected peers you download 10 pieces at the same time and when you allow 100 peers you download 100 pieces.

Or did i misconvince that option?

It does that so it can queue up rare pieces, it's done intentionally.

You need change in advance options bt.prio_rare_thres to the number of pieces you want.

You really shouldn't alter that option.

Why?

bt.prio_rare_thres If the total # of downloading pieces is less than bt.prio_rare_thres, it tries to find a more rare piece to start, otherwise it uses one of the already started ones. Setting it to 0 is the same as the previous "false" (bt.always_prio_rare), and setting it to like 1000 is the same as previous "true."

Because the option was set specifically to help out the swarm, and make you grab rare pieces when possible, which helps EVERYONE in the swarm finish faster. It actually helps your speeds too, because with more rare pieces, you're more likely to get bandwidth from others.

I used to believe prioritizing rare pieces would kill my download speeds, and this almost was truth in the betas where we had only the true or false option, but now it is done quite well and doesnt harm at all if anything
