µTorrent 3.1 Release Candidate 11

I also notice that it seems harder to exceed the write cache limits at high speeds with diskio.low_prio_disk = *false, it only gets close and then mass flushes.

Yeah, I've notice this too. I run @ 40-50+MBps... (1G LAN, close to my HD max write speed) so that might make the difference as well.

Still managed to though. 160/32. And still gets stuck with them in the cache when I delete torrent (+ data).

30Mbit/2Mbit connection, 100Mbit LAN, that shouldn't really make a difference when I'm only getting like 3.1MB/s tops (and usually more like 1.5-2.5MB/s).

Right, no idea what's going on. It happens at low speeds here as well, and both ways over the LAN. Maybe some other related setting. I'm on Win7/32bits, Windows write cache - unchecked (enabled/default). You?

I have problem, I have upgraded to 3.1 build 26519 and its not working, Its loaded into processes but program is not showing in task bar nor system tray.

I have win 7 x64.

Here are utorrent .dmp files http://www.mediafire.com/?qh4obz0il4u9vqk

I'm using utorrent in Serbian Cyrillic language

In this moment I have found that when I delete language file, I could normally start utorrent.

Same. Pretty sure these are the defaults now - Basic cache settings: Reduce. Advanced: Top 6 checked, then bottom 1 checked.

µTorrent 3.1 (build 26519) - Windows XP SP3.

If you decide to omit certain files in a torrent, when it finishes downloading and the state of the torrent changes to "Seeding," you can't see the torrent in the "Seeding" list of the sidebar. Instead, it appears when you choose to see the category "Downloading."

In this image, it says that there are two torrents seeding, but only one is shown:

qQsJb.jpg

Then here, it says that there are 11 torrents downloading (and those are shown correctly) but the list has 12 items since it includes the missing torrent from the other list.

I just updated today, so I can say with certainty that this wasn't a problem in 3.0.

It's a bit different here, tho I have a hunch it had to do with using this torrent type (single 6.5 GB file, at 4MB piece size...) or just something bad with my PC ... :

Edit:

Yeah, it seems to go smooth with another smaller torrent. So, here is this problematic one: http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/6616530

Could you take a dump of utorrent.exe when it's hung while shutting down? Wait at least 30 seconds after exiting before doing so.

In task manager, go to processes, right click utorrent.exe and hit 'Create Dump File'. Compress it, upload it somewhere, then email me the link. (Click on my name and hit Send e-mail)

I just had a torrent get stuck in RC3 (diskio.low_prio_disk = *false, if it matters) with two 1MB pieces (64 blocks each) left in cache. Status says "Flushing to disk (128)" but then they never get flushed, even though there is no other disk activity and it is the only active torrent.

Stuck Dump: http://www.mediafire.com/?drwz5e8q1jraa87

After I created the dump I restarted my other torrent, stopping the stuck torrent, and did a Force Recheck, which caused the program to hang. Let it go for awhile to see if it would be temporary but 3 hours later, still frozen.

Also, please respond to the remaining items in my main post: http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=620310#p620310

Thank you.

Disk Overloaded. I have Core i7 , 6 GB DDR3, Triple Channel, RAID 0 - Streapping, and with any settings , utorrent is giving me the disk overloaded. If the download speed is over 2 MB/s this message apears and the download is very slow. My HDD is not fragmented .

With other torrent clients I don't have this problem, and I'm downloading with 10 to 15 MB/s. (I have fiber optic to my home from my ISP provider where I work as Local Network Administrator ) .

So what's wrong ?

Thank's and all the best !

L.E. With the 3.1 build 26519 , and with override automatic cache size , set to 128MB, the download speed is much - much better now. I'm using more RAM but that's why I have 6 GB of ram. To use it :D

I've tested with 2 torrent clients at the same time to see the difference.... The problem seems to be solved for now. 12.3 MB/s ( 99 Mbs bandwith ).

And thank's to rafi for his post ( #270 ).

@ChichipioWilson: Thanks for an excellent report! I believe I've knocked these off today, but I'll verify it some more tomorrow. Hopefully we can do a refresh tomorrow night

ah, was wondering about that.

RC3 bug, show in "download" tab torrents that are already finished.

had 2 go back ...

yeah, im seeing that too. happening for torrents that you didn't select all files in, its probably the same bug as ChichipioWilson posted so arvid might have already fixed it.
