Chrismcd13
Hello, I recently got 50 Mbps broadband with shaw. I forwarded all necessary ports and all my downloads are always at full health. When I do a speedtest the download speed is usaully at around 16 Mbps but it as gone up to around 48 Mbps before. In utorrent I average at about 250 Kbps download speed but have seen it spike to 600 Kbps for a short time. I don't know why I'm not getting the much faster speeds that I'm paying for. Help would be greatly appreciated.
CrazyCanuck
Because Shaw throttles your bittorent transfers. Go TekSavvy. http://broadband.mpi-sws.org/transparency/bttest-mlab.phpfind out if you are getting throttled. That is your first step. IF you aren't, then look at all your software.
