soull Posted October 17, 2011 Report Posted October 17, 2011 Hi.Im having problems with utorrent crashing all the time..I im using 1.8.5 for very long time, because i think its the most stable when using high speeds. (Always uploading/downloading with aprox 110/120mbit/s)Havent had any problems at all, before last night.Been using 1.8.5 for a very long time, because all newer versions is kinda bad when you max out a 1gbit connection :/The server have restarter over night, cant see why.Anyone knows what can have changed over the night ?Server specs:OS: Windows Web server 2008Processor Name: Intel Xeon X3430 - 4x 2.8GHzCodename: LynnfieldSpeed: 2800MHzSmart Cache: 8MBHyperThreading: NoArchitecture: 64bit Memory Information Total Installed: 24GB DDR3Registered DIMM: YesECC Registered: Yes Hard Disk Information Drive Capacity: 4x 2TB SATA IIInstalled Drives: 4 / 2Drive Type: SATA IIDrive Speed: 7200RPM
mcaspi Posted October 17, 2011 Report Posted October 17, 2011 Might be the electricity network that went down in your area. Otherwise, it can be a hardware problem. As first aid, check that the fans inside the server and the power supply work properly. See what happens during the next days.As for version 1.8.5. Try 3.0 with utp disabled and don't give up on newer versions.
soull Posted October 17, 2011 Author Report Posted October 17, 2011 I think 3.0 is shit :/ Sry to say but have never used a utorrent version that crashed to much..I cant check the server, i rent it another place..But its not the server thats the problem, as i wrote, the problem is that utorrent crashes constantly :/
mcaspi Posted October 17, 2011 Report Posted October 17, 2011 You wrote that it was a one time restart. Anyway, If you don't like 3.0 I think that auto-update updates to 2.1. Try it. If you don't think it's the server, might have been a power failure as I wrote. See what happens in the next few days.
DreadWingKnight Posted October 17, 2011 Report Posted October 17, 2011 1.8.5 isn't supported. Sorry. If you're staying at that version, we can't help you.
