I've updated the drivers of my network card and my graphics card, I've uninstalled McAfee and all that nonsense McAfee stuff the computer boxers seem to think I want... I have AVG free running on my system.Every once in a while I can get an hour or two out of utorrent if I haven't used it in a while, and then more blue and even more death.I'm just trying Vuze right now. So far no problems. But the thing about that is: Boo-urns. I want to use uTorrent.Won't somebody offer me advice?Thanks in advance...

Broadcom Netlink Gigabit Ethernet.Though above that it says Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter.Are those two separate things?If you're asking me because you're 100% sure it's the network adapter, then I'll admit to possibly installing the driver incorrectly. I get by, but I'm not a computer buff. It's terribly confusing on Broadcom's driver downloads page... but, I went right in my device manager and I'm pretty sure it accepted my changeroo...

Whats the operating system, XP or Win7 ?As well, did you install Windows or did it come pre-installed with your computer ?I would bet dollars to donuts that is a driver, or service pack, but it also could be a strange app. AVG is a solid antivirus program, Avast is good as well and lots of folks us it.

I just got this laptop a month or two ago.A kernal driver, eh? Not sure what that is...Also, might seem strange, but I don't really know what my video card is. I mean there's nothing that says, explicitly, "video card." But I have assumed that it's whatever my machine's calling Intel HD Graphics. No?So, I already said the network card comes up as broadcom (under the device manager). But, I have a sticker by my right hand that says "Acer Nplify 802.11b/g/n" with the wireless image. Don't see that bit in the device manager...Any ideas?

tstwitter Posted October 22, 2011 Report Posted October 22, 2011 Sometimes Utorrent trys to install the Ask toolbar, remove all your toolbars from Firefox.If your absolutely sure it's a Utorrent issue, you can try uninstalling Utorrent 3 and then install Utorrent 2.2.1 , and try that. Some build of Utorrent will try to install some crapware (toolbars), just untick when you install.Have you had ZERO bluescreens now that you are on Vuze ?

And I gather there haven't really been problems with utorrent+avg.I didn't install the toolbars when installing utorrent. And I had an old version of utorrent on my old pc that I tried, but same story...I've had zero bluescreens since using Vuze. Which would be utilizing my network adapter in the same way, no? I mean, if I didn't know any better I'd say it was a software issue and be done with it... but most people seem to be running utorrent just fine.So something's gotta be incompatible on my machine... what is netIO? I mean, is that just a system term to describe the network card's functions as a whole, or is it a specific function of the network card?
