DrScrat Posted October 19, 2011 Report Posted October 19, 2011 I upgraded uTorrent 2.2.1 (25130) to the latest stable release 3.0 (25806) and then (when seeding problems were encountered) to beta release 3.1 (25788) on a Win XP Pro (all service packs, patches, etc in). Under 2.2.1 my upload speed was 135kB/s, throttle at 125K and my download speed was 417kB/s, throttle at 400K. After the upgrade to the 3.x versions (and setting the options to equivalent settings) my upload speed was 12kB/s and the download speed varied. When I had the scheduler enabled the download speed was close to the throttle point as under version 2.2.1, when I disabled the scheduler in an attempt to improve the upload (seeding) speed my download speed dropped to around a 100kB/s. The global upload rates are at 256 and alternate 350 and the global download rate is 0. These settings were at the same values in all versions. I allowed the program to run for 15 minutes to 'settle' trackers connections with little change. The seeded torrents are a mix of both private and public trackers and the downloading torrents were all public trackers. I have downgraded back to version 2.2.1 and my download and seeding speeds are back to 'normal' for the throttle levels I have set. The seeding levels were back at speed within 20 to 50 seconds after starting the program. My ISP is Comcast (not sure if this is a possible problem). In any case, I'm not upgrading the version until whatever has caused this appears to be resolved.
