Can uT run so fast that my computer locks up.

For a while i was enjoying 2.5MBs and i was loving it. Naturally like a slut i wanted faster after a week or two but i went from about 1.2 to 2.5.

Well now i hear a cpu click then my computer freezes. I been restarting and all that shit and I'm not a happy torrenter or a happy computer user.

I throttled my dl to 500 and got better performance, then 800 and i seem ok.

I'll inch my way to my threshold and find a permanent throttle.

Is there anything you can think of that could be causing a problem or a bottle neck?

I could have just asked what mathimatical variables do i need to collect and how can i apply them to learn my uT traffic thresh hold.

If my traffic threshold is faster then my drives write speed will that cause freeze up?

For two weeks i been thinking i need to sell my 6 free agent go 500 gig drives and use the money to buy 2 drives that can hold all my data, One for my active use, one for my back up. I'm just not ready to clone all my drives, take stock of all my information and then begin a transfer to be sure i got all i own going to the new drives. Then a fucking wipe. Grrrr.

Is your hard drive going 5700 RPM (rotations per minute) or more?

How much free space do you have on your hard drive?

Are you using an external hard drive?

I download at 3MBPS easily while running a game and listening to music. My hard drive is only 5700RPM. I'm thinking this might have something to do with either a virus, malware, or a 3rd party program. So inform us all so we can help.:)
