crcjetty
i am saving all my torrent downloads to a NAS without any problem. the thing is that when i boot my PC, it takes a minute to mount the drive letter for the NAS & therefore my seeding always shows an error. something like 'drive not mounted'.is there a way i can set utorrent to wait a minute before it starts seeding or downloading. Foonus
Have done the same and only way i could get around the drive not ready error was to physically go into windows explorer and have it establish the connection by clicking on it and trying to access it before you launch your torrent client. Will warn you in advance, if you use a multi honed network to access that NAS you gonna run into all sorts of fun with Windows metrics on your multiple adapters and how utorrent handles all them. crcjetty
thanks for your reply. the problem is that i have utorrent starting automatically with windows. maybe a way around it if to setup utorrent with windows scheduler. maybe that will delay it a bit until the drive has been read. Foonus
Just wait till windows loads up and launch it manually if you can after you start explorer and establish the network connection, will work fine after.. If you trying to run automated machine for it try run it as a service with delayed startup after you config another service to start up before it to try and establish that net connection. At least that will get it running, not much utorrent devs can do here since its issue with windows networking taking so long to establish connections on startup. crcjetty
thanks again for your reply. i have disabled auto start in utorrent & setup a task in windows schedule to start utorrent 1 minute after login. i haven't tried it yet but will let you know.
