jane44 Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 Since the latest auto upgrade, I can no longer connect to any trackers. I can still download via DHT and peer exchange, but no matter what trackers are in the list, it just says that they're updating. There are never any seeds or peers listed for any of the trackers.
Mac-the-Knife Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 You could try putting the torrent hash in the search part of a site called Torrentz, this hopefully will bring up a list of the file you are downloading. If you scroll down below the list you will find the section "torrent trackers" and across the bottom of the list you will see:This lists all the active trackers for this torrent, not just the ones embedded in the .torrent file. You can get a µTorrent compatible list here. This will speed up your download.Left click the uTorrent compatible list here part that's in a different colour and it will bring all the trackers up that are available for the torrent. Copy the list, then paste them to the list of trackers in uTorrent. Be sure to leave a space before adding them to the list. It doesn't matter if any of them match a tracker already in the list. To open the list of trackers in uTorrent just right click on the torrent and click properties.
jane44 Posted October 30, 2011 Author Report Posted October 30, 2011 Thank you for taking the time to answer. I followed your suggestions and the entire list of trackers still shows 'Updating' with no seeds, no peers and no downloads. I get no error messages and no messages stating that the connection timed out or that the hosts are otherwise unreachable.
DreadWingKnight Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 What internet security software do you have installed?
