jolancer Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 Im going to post this question on another board when i get a chance, but i think its related to UT thats why im posting here.pc automatically and very sudenly/instantly rebooted.. but i got no BSOD? .... my comp boots though initialy with grub legacy, and its daul bootable with linux, so i select XP pro from the grub menu... not sure if thats why i got no BSOD? oh, there was also no error in the event viewer. It has never done that befor, or since... just the one time. I made note of exactly what i was doing but did not try it again to reproduce it because im afraid of data corruption or sumthing if that happens. let me know if my feers are miss placed or paranoid?I had just finished DLing a ~700mb .mp4 file. so that was seeding, at same time i started DLing a ~7gb x264 file. After that started I started watching the .mp4 in media player classic, while it was seeding. I may have also used a few misc basic programs inbetween such as firefox but nothing like that was open when reboot accured. I watched the mp4 for a while, perhaps 20mins b4 it suddently rebooted. exact things besides windows proccess's running = uTorrent 3.0 build:25806 , Sygate Personal Firewall pro , media player classic 6490 , halli splitter , CoreAVC build:8223 , ffdshow tryouts rev.3914 audio decoderI setup this pc not too long ago, maybe couple months ago... recent very clean system, right now as i look at task manager on here and with uT running, theres only 24 process's. its a Acer Aspire One D255 , Atom N450 , 1gb ram, set static 2048mb page file. running from Limited User Account not my Admin account in XP pro sp3 , let me know if i forgot anything.
