uTorrent locks up when I start a download

Since the update, uTorrent locks up after I start the download. The download continues, but I can't click anything in the program, not even quit it, unless I force quit. If I force quit, and restart it, then it works.

I'm on an Intel Mac 2007.

Unrelated question: In the previous version it was set up so the torrent file would automatically go to my trash folder. How do I set it to do that? I see the screen, but can't find my trash folder in Finder.
