Download starts and then stop suddenly after less than a minute

Hello,

I have used mutorrent for quite a few years with no issues and good results.

Now I have just bought a new computer with Windows 7 and installed mutorrent version 3.

I have ran the test and results are ok for both sections.

My issue is that when I want to download a file, the dowload starts and then stops suddenly after less than one minute. I have tried to download several files including very popular ones and the error message after starting the download is always the same: "error access denied".

I have read through FAQs and different topics here but could not find a solution.

So have you made sure the security properties on your downloads folder include your user account full control?

I have checked I am in administrator mode and have no restriction to write on my download file. Restarted mu torrent and still does the same error.

Your user account being an administrator isn't enough on windows vista or 7.

I have authorised everything (put full control in properties, security tab) on the file which will receive the downloads for all the users. Does not change the error messages.

Hello,

I went through again all my configuration, however I still cannot download files.

Both of my tests are ok so there are no router problems. I configured the preferences in mu torrrent using the guide posted in the forum.

Problem is still the same, torrents start download, everything seems to look ok and then less than a minute after start, transfer stops suddenly stating "error invalid download" or "error access denied".

Pls help me, I have been using mu torrent for years on my old computer (windows xp) and now with my new computer (windows 7) it does not work anymore.

My firewall is macafee security center and it is configured for mutorrent.

Where do I find the "advanced security properties" to apply permissions to child objects". I have looked in the control panel of windows 7 (family edition) and could not find it. Thanks

Hello,

I tried with all types of windows 7 security settings possible and could not get to have mutorrent work. Each time same scenario, download starts goes up to good speed and then within one minute stops suddenly with error message.

Finally managed to have it work ... saved my torrent file on an external disk !
