Clippy Posted November 9, 2011 Report Posted November 9, 2011 Hello. I have been using uTorrent for about two years now with no problem for most of that time, but I suddenly started having issues three days or so ago. I had already used uTorrent that day with no problems at all, but then I clicked on a "Download Torrent" link and the torrent link opened up to be saved in "Downloads" on my computer instead of opening in uTorrent itself like it has always done and is supposed to do. This happens no matter which site I try to open a torrent link on. I even went into "Default Programs" in Windows and it says that uTorrent is the default to open torrents, but they still do not open in uTorrent and instead open in "Downloads". I had been using uTorrent 2.3 for a long time until it stopped opening files and then I uninstalled it and installed 3.0 hoping it would help but obviously it didn't. uTorrent seems to be working fine other than that as it is still seeding other files. But since torrents no longer open up in uTorrent, I have no way to download anything.Does anyone know why this could have suddenly started happening? I hadn't made any changes to uTorrent or my computer at all before it started. Does anyone know how I can get it to start opening normally? Thanks

Clippy Posted November 10, 2011 Author Report Posted November 10, 2011 I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you mean. Can you reword what you said, or does anyone else know what I can do?Also, I don't see anything that says "Icon".
Mac-the-Knife Posted November 13, 2011 Report Posted November 13, 2011 Are you sure it's not opening in utorrent. I'm using the firefox browser, when I click on a torrent download I normally get a box come up with downloads, this is a normal with firefox and should come up no matter what you download and is nothing to do with uTorrent, but the file should still open uTorrent and show in it as it normally does.
