jeepmanjr Posted November 14, 2011 Report Posted November 14, 2011 3.1 Beta, Build 26419)Howdy! Love uTorrent, but I'm at my wits end! I'm DLing a 924mb file right now at 700kbs. Of the 1000mb's I've DL'd, 872mb is wasted to hashfails!! I've loaded ipfilter, turned off VPN and reduced speeds down to 300kbs. The speed reduction helped somewhat, but still not good. I "declocked" my PC to default, defragged my SSD, ran memory and HDD checks and rebuilt my ip stack. All is well with the world except the hashfails. Having written all this, does anyone have any other suggestions I can try? Seems I never used to have these problems with earlier versions of uTorrent.
jeepmanjr Posted November 15, 2011 Author Report Posted November 15, 2011 Well, looks like I found the answer. On a hunch I removed my OCZ Vertex 3 SSD and reinstalled my HD VelociRaptor. Problem solved. 768mb torrent with 27 kb waste and no hashfails. Funny, I ran several checks on the SSD and no problems were identified. Less than 600gb written to it, SSDLife Pro shows 100% life left - until 2020. I'm lost. Any ideas? I've been contemplating going to their PCI-E drive. Wonder if I should now.
